The person behind the lens

I'm Adam. I photograph dancers, singers and actors at the Brazier Studio, London E4. It's a private first-floor space, ten minutes on the Overground from Walthamstow. Before the camera comes out we talk through what you need, what casting wants to see, and the exact shots that get you there.

You're directed the whole way, from posing to expression to movement, so you never have to guess what to do. Music on, no audience, no rush. Nervous? Everyone is, for about the first five minutes. Then you forget the camera is there. The work that leaves this room goes in front of agents and casting tables, and it reads like you on your best day. You're always welcome to bring a friend, parent or agent along to any session.
