The Consultation

Before the camera comes out we plan your looks against your casting goals: headshots, bodyshots and character looks covering exactly what agents and casting ask for.

The Directed Shoot

Posing, expression and movement directed shot by shot, so you never freeze in front of the lens. Nothing in the frame is luck.

The Selection

You see frames on the back of the camera as we shoot. Your full gallery follows, and you choose the images that go forward.

The Casting-Ready Finish

Every image you choose is finished by hand, natural and sharp, true to how you look in the room. Sized and named for print, web and social.

Four tiers, one standard

A look is one full change: a different outfit, different lighting and a different background. Each look takes 30 minutes. 5 looks is the set I recommend for agency submissions. 3 looks is where most people start. Every session is directed shot by shot. Want an extra look on top? They are £160 each.

Want more than your included retouched images? You pick extras from your contact sheet after the shoot, £35 each or as low as £22 each in bundles. At booking you can also add an agency polaroid set (£155) or a same-day vocal reel: three songs filmed and mixed straight after your shoot, £220 instead of the usual £320. Hair and makeup (£195) is available too.

It comes off the total. Pay the rest before your shoot, or choose Shoot Now, Pay Later: three payments taken from your card, the first on your shoot day and the next two a month apart. Interest-free, no credit check. If a job comes in, you can move your date online (£25).

It lasts about five minutes.

Looking at my Instagram, it's easy to put pressure on yourself: will mine look as good as theirs? Most people arrive with that worry. You're directed from the very first frame, the early shots are just warm-ups, and most people have completely relaxed before the first outfit change.

Before you book

The questions I get most

Do I have to pay everything up front?

No. £75 books your date and comes off the total. Then you choose: pay the rest in one go before your shoot, or Shoot Now, Pay Later. That is three equal payments taken automatically from the card you booked with: the first on your shoot day, the next two a month apart. Interest-free, no credit check, nothing to remember.

What does the deposit cover, and can I move my date?

Your £75 comes off the total, so it is part payment rather than an extra fee. If a job comes in, you can move your date yourself online; rescheduling costs £25. Want more retouched images after the shoot? Extras are £35 each, dropping to as low as £22 each in bundles.

What if I'm nervous or awkward in front of a camera?

Everyone thinks they'll be the one who can't do it. You're directed the whole way: posing, expression and movement. The first frames are just warm-ups that never make the final selection. Most people completely relax within the first five minutes, and the photos always land.

How long until I get my images?

Retouched selections land within 7 days of your session, often sooner when you've got a deadline. Tell me the date and I'll work to it.

Where is the studio?

The Brazier Studio, 490 Larkshall Road, Highams Park, London E4 9HH. A private first-floor space, ten minutes on the Overground from Walthamstow. You're welcome to bring a friend, parent or agent to any session.
